WTA: Martina Hingis under the hood for the second time

As the “Blick” reports, 37-year-old Hingis and Harald Leemann, one year older, said “yes” on Friday at the registry office in Zug. On Saturday the church wedding followed with a celebration in the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz.

Hingis had met Leemann in the Swiss Fed Cup team in 2016, for which he worked as a team doctor. For the former world number one, this is her second marriage: From 2010 to 2013 she was married to the French show jumper Thibault Hutin.

Hingis had finished her career last autumn. She was at the top of the WTA ranking for a total of 209 weeks. In the singles the Swiss won five Grand Slam titles – as well as 13 in doubles and 7 in mixed major trophies. In January she told the Schweizer Illustrierte: “We would like to have children, yes.
