Masters Shanghai: 50-minute clap – Peter Gojowczyk out without a chance

Peter Gojowczyk has missed the entry into the round of the last eight. The 29-year-old had no chance against Australian Matthew Ebden in the 2-6, 3-6 draw and lost in just 50 minutes.

After his victory over Martin Fucsovics from Hungary, Peter Gojowczyk’s tank was obviously empty. The Australian Matthew Ebden was not a match for the Munich man.

The serve didn’t work like in the lap before, the number of mistakes was too high. Quickly “Gojo” had to realize that there was nothing to get on that day. After only 27 minutes, Ebden grabbed the first run 6-2 and made a big step towards the quarter-finals.

There wasn’t much to see of a schedule for Gojowczyk and the German quickly fell behind in the second round as well. He was to leave the stage even faster than the first and so the 29-year-old’s Shanghai adventure ended prematurely after almost 50 minutes of playing time.
