Davis Cup Final: Borna Coric takes Croatia 1-0 lead in Lille

As expected, Borna Coric scored the first point for Croatia against France in the Davis Cup final of 2018. Coric defeated Jeremy Chardy in three sets.

In the second match Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is already under pressure: The former top-ten-man, who had to take a break in 2018 because of an injury for several months and did not return to the tournament until September, plays against the number one of Croatia, Marin Cilic (now live on DAZN and in LIVETICKER).

In the third set, the Croatian had already made things clear earlier – with the break to 2:1. Chardy was no longer able to counter, Coric remained the better player in all respects. The only tension that arose was that the 22-year-old Croatian left the court at 4:3 in the third round to be treated by a physiotherapist. After returning to the court, Coric missed his first match point after 2:18 hours, the Croatian then turned the second with a strong serve.
