ATP: Alexander Zverev: Really still single?

A few weeks ago, the social media was hot when a young lady Alexander Zverev cheered from the player’s box. But he reassured his female fans: “I’m still single.” Is that still the case?

“In China, there was an acquaintance, a family acquaintance. Not my girlfriend or anything,” Zverev said on the sidelines of the ATP tournament in Paris in early November to the TV channel Sky.

I wonder if there’s more to it now. The “family acquaintance” was also on holiday with Zverev – and he heated up the rumour mill from there. “Obviously we’re just good friends,” he wrote under an Instagram post of the two.

Who’s the young lady? Olya Sharypova, like Zverev 21 years old, was an ambitious Russian junior hopeful and made it to 287th place in the junior ranking. However, she did not make it to the women’s singles. Together with Zverev she was on the training course during the Asian tour, now she went on holiday to the Maldives, together with Zverev’s best buddy, Marcelo Melo.

Whether a photo continuation to the relationship status of the two follows? Probably not at first: Zverev is currently preparing for the new season in Monte Carlo – without female accompaniment. But with brother Mischa and Novak Djokovic at his side.
