Laver Cup: Revenge in Chicago: Place and date fixed for second event

Team Europe is the glorious winner of the first Laver Cup in Prague.From 21.till 23.September 2018, the world selection in Chicago (USA) can repay itself.

That was fun!The premiere of the Laver Cup ended with a dramatic three-match match between Roger Federer and Nick Kyrgios.The tennis festival in the Czech capital could hardly have gone better.In the always sold-out O2 Arena (17,360 seats) the spectators were spoiled with exciting matches and great emotions.

In 2018, the duel between Team Europe and Team World enters the second round – but then with a home advantage for the world selection.The United Center in Chicago will host 23,500 spectators and host the home games of the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago Blackhawks (NHL).

New on board next year is the US tennis association USTA.The Laver Cup 2016 was created by TEAM8, the management of Roger Federer, former Davis Cup player Jorge Paulo and Tennis Australia.

It remains to be seen whether the majority of the world’s selection will also consist of Americans in Chicago.With Sam Querrey, Jack Sock, John Isner and Frances Tiafoe, four of the six team members from the USA came to Prague.
