Behind the four Grand Slam tournaments, the WTA Championships are the most prestigious tournament in women’s tennis and are also considered an unofficial world championship in which the best single players and the best doubles of the past WTA season meet.Since 2014, the tournament, which also marks the end of the season, has been held in Singapore.From 2019, the tournament will move on to another city.
DAZN is a streaming service that allows you to follow all single and double matches of the WTA finals live.The DAZN programme also includes numerous other international sports leagues such as the Premier League, the NBA and the MLB.
The eight leading ladies of the 2017 WTA Tour will compete against each other in Singapore, the ninth-place and tenth-place players will stand by as reserveists in the event of breakdowns.
Wimbledon winner Garbine Muguruza was the first to win the Singapore ticket this year, and Caroline Garcia was the eighth player to complete the field.

Anna-Lena Grönefeld is the only German to compete in doubles together with the Czech Republic’s Kveta Peschke.Angelique Kerber lost her second round at the WTA tournament in Beijing and lost all her chances of participating.Last year, the former world number one was still in the final against Dominika Cibulkova.

In the individual competition, the eight players are divided into two groups of four participants each.After all players have competed in three group matches, the two first-placed players of each group qualify for the semi-finals, with the winners of each group meeting the runners-up of the other groups.The two semi-final winners will meet in the final.
The doubles competition will be held in knock-out mode from the very beginning, with the quarter finals and semi-finals being used to determine the participants for the final.
With five victories in seven participations, Serena Williams is the runner-up of the record winners behind Martina Navratilova.The Czech Republic won the title a total of eight times.
