ATP: Becker visits Rafa Nadal Academy

Prominent visitors to the Academy of World Ranking First: In addition to Boris Becker, one of the best players of the last few months visited Mallorca.

Every year, the Raf Nadal Tennis Academy attracts prominent visitors: Roger Federer visited the opening of the facility on Mallorca twelve months ago. Now Boris Becker visited the Spanish matador, who resumed his training despite some knee problems. Well packaged, as the picture that the Academy posted on Instagram reveals. The Red Baron knows that there is no such thing as bad weather. Just bad clothes.

Whether it was just a courtesy visit of the triple Wimbledon champion or whether Becker was thinking of coaching himself again soon and therefore familiarizing himself with the localities was not explained in more detail.

From a sporting point of view, perhaps even more interesting, but another guest on the top of the ATP world ranking: Caroline Garcia. The Frenchman finished the 2017 season brilliantly, not only in the top ten but also for the first time at the WTA finals in Singapore. Garcia used the academy for a training session, of course under her father’s guidance.

Garcia had declared before the start of the season that she wanted to concentrate fully on her individual career. The doubles (and friendship) with Kristina Mladenovic were canceled informally, as was the Fed Cup race track. As a balance sheet, we can say: with success.
