Wimbledon: Petzschner/Pütz with surprise victory

Philipp Petzschner and Tim Pütz have taken the French Open winners Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut out of the tournament.
The two Germans beat the duo from France 6-4, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4), 6-3 to reach the round of 16 against Ben McLachlan and Jan-Lennard Struff.
Petzschner and Pütz had already won at Weissenhof in Stuttgart; Petzschner had already announced that the two will be seen together more often in the future, even if Pütz was Struff’s regular partner – “and everyone always wants to see Tim and Struffi”, Petzschner joked.
Now Pütz is going against his other successful partner, and this at the side of Petzschner, who already knows what a Wimbledon victory feels like: In 2010 the 34-year-old won at Church Road with Jürgen Melzer.
