WTA: Resignation? Pregnant? No! Dominika Cibulkova writes her memoirs

Dominika Cibulkova goes among the writers. Sort of. The world rankings-25th from Slovakia have announced that they are working on an autobiography. Not alone, of course. A friendly journalist helps “Domi”.

Dominika Cibulkova is known for special actions and statements. Sometimes she posts a photo of herself and her husband Miso in leather costume from the mirrored elevator. Sometimes she tells us that she feels like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – as focused as she does uneitel on the court, but away from her workplace fashion-conscious and open to everything.

When the 2016 WTA World Champion announced a Breaking News from Cibulkova a few days ago, the rumours were spreading. Is the 29-year-old surprisingly ending her career? Because maybe she’s even pregnant?

No – and no. The power player from Bratislava announced that she is working on her memoirs. Together with her Slovak journalist friend Andrea Coddington. Which makes sense, “because she knows me very well,” said Cibulkova about the author.

It won’t be a pure tennis book. Everything in her life will be illuminated. “Successes, mistakes, highs and lows, the passion for fashion, my friends, my family, my love. My life,” wrote Cibulkova in her post on Instagram and Facebook.

There is no publication date for the book yet. It will be “colourful, passionate, honest, with lots of photos and insider stories,” promised the Wimbledon quarter-finalist from 2018 in advance.

Cibulkova follows in great footsteps. Maria Sharapova’s autobiography “Unstoppable” was a recent success. Of all things. About the Russian Cibulkova had once said: “She is a really unsympathetic person. She’s arrogant, conceited and cold. If I sit next to her in the cabin, she won’t even greet me.” It will be interesting to see what the extroverted Slovakian reveals in her memoirs.
