WTA: Tennis Olympic runner-up Robson survives massacre in Las Vegas

British tennis player Laura Robson, who won silver at the 2012 London Olympic Games alongside Andy Murray in the Mixed, survived the massacre at a music concert in Las Vegas on Sunday evening.

“I’m okay,”twittered the 23-year-old girl who had been to the country music festival on the Strip together with a friend.

The suspect, a 64-year-old man from Nevada, had a report from 32.The police shot a randomly shot into the crowd on the second floor of a hotel, killing at least 58 people and injuring at least 500 more.The police assume that the shooter later shot himself.It’s the worst gun crime in US history.Around 22,000 people were present at the concert.

“My friend, who stood in the crowd, helped people who had been hit.We are all in shock,”wrote Laura Robson,”it sounded like fireworks.The British woman, currently the world’s number 249, had previously competed in a tournament in California and then travelled to Las Vegas for a concert.
