ATP: Bernard Tomic wants to be in the Top 5

No more jungle camp and Co.: Bernard Tomic wants to attack again on the tennis court – and play Davis Cup again. The team has no chance without him anyway.

After the missed Australian Open qualification, Tomic had only the plans to count his millions, but shortly afterwards he was in the Australian jungle camp, but after a few unsuccessful days he left the camp.

And apparently the 25-year-old wants back to the roots “I feel that I woke up last year because of the wasted money. Tomic told an Australian podcast, as au. sports. yahoo. com reports,”That should come back where I belong and try to become a top 5 or top 8 player. At the moment, Tomic has to fight his way through the smaller tournaments and qualifications as number 168 in the world. The goal for next year is therefore the top 30,”and I’ll have to work hard for it”.

Tomic is also considering a Davis Cup comeback. His balance sheet speaks for itself, he said in an interview with the Australian broadcaster 7 Two. And:”I’ll stick to it: They know that they can’t win without me – and I know that too. This is therefore a difficult situation. But I wish them all the best for their next encounter. You know where I stand – and hopefully there’s a chance for me to play.”

There was a little bit of self-criticism about his comments in the past:”I regretted some of them five minutes later,”says the former number 17. Tomic, however, continues to say that the Australian tennis association is corrupt. He hopes that these things will be clarified in the next few years.
