ATP: Alexander Zverev confidently into Beijing quarter-finals

Alexander Zverev has confidently reached the quarter-finals of the ATP World Tour 500 tournament in Beijing: German number one beat Fabio Fognini in two sets and now meets Andrey Rublev from Russia.

The 20-year-old from Hamburg celebrated his 50th birthday at the 6:4,6:2 against Fabio Fognini from Italy.Season’s victory and will play against Andrey Rublev, a year younger Russian, on Friday (13.30 CEST/Sky) for the semi-finals.The German only had minor problems at the beginning, but shows himself to be the better, more consistent player over the entire game time.After 72 minutes, the current number four of the ATP rankings secured the top eight position.
