Dominic Köpfer, Benjamin Hassan and Kevin Krawietz won the Future Events last week.

The 23-year-old head man won the final in Sherbrooke/Canada (25,000 US dollars) 6:7 (3), 7:5,6:2 over Michael Relicki and secured his fourth ITF title. In the coming week, he was expected to take his best place in the world rankings – he had previously been ranked 229th.

In Jerba/Tunisia (15,000 US dollars), Kevin Krawietz celebrated a double strike. In the singles match, he won 6-2,6-1 over Gianni Mina in the final and won the fourth ITF singles title of his career – the first since 2012. In the doubles he won with Alexander Vasilenko 6:7 (3), 6:3,[10:8] against Florent Diep/Jonathan Kanar.

Benjamin Hassan beat top seeded Jay Clarke 3-6,7-6 (1), 6-4 in the final of the 15,000cc Doha/Qatar – Hassan’s first title in the ITF future area, thanks to which he will break the world’s top 500 for the first time next week.

There were also three semi-finals – for Jakob Sude in Heraklion/Greece (US$15,000) and Peter Torebko in Antalya/Turkey (US$15,000) and for the women’s semi-finals for Tayisiya Morderger in Solarino/Italy (US$15,000).

On ATP-Challenger level Oscar Otte played a strong week. At the Zhahai Open ($75,000) he made it to the semi-finals as number four of the seed list, but was forced to give up against the eventual winner Alex Bolt at a score of 5:6 in the first round.
