ATP/WTA: Radek Stepanek and Nicole Vaidisova with Baby News

The reunited Radek Stepanek and Nicole Vaidisova are apparently becoming parents.

One of the biggest heartbreakers of the men’s tour seems to have settled down. Radek Stepanek, former world number eight and former life partner of Martina Hingis and Petra Kvitova, becomes Papa. This was announced by Novak Djokovic’s current coach via Instagram. The woman at his side: Nicole Vaidisova, with whom he was married from 2010 to 2013; Stepanek himself had talked about a renewed liaison with the former world ranking seven some time ago, but Vaidisova did not want to know anything about it at the time. But apparently she could no longer resist the charm of the 39-year-old.

“We are overjoyed that we are expecting a very special family member this summer – and are already presenting the first piece of clothing,” Stepanek and Vaidisova wrote under an Instagram photo that they both posted.

The tennisnet team congratulates – and hopes that Stepanek’s offspring will not wear his shirt too often when playing with Stefan and Tara Djokovic. Papa Novak might disagree with this bold statement…
