The DTB team beat the Belarus team 3:2, the Czech Republic won 3:1 against Switzerland. For the seventh time since 2011, Porsche Team Deutschland will host a home game in the Porsche Arena Stuttgart.
The semi-final will be divided over two days. On Saturday, 21.04.2018 the first singles started at 12 o’clock, on Sunday, 22.04.2018 it continues at 11 o’clock. The matches will be played in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart on a clay court.
After the first two matches on Saturday, the German team is trailing 0:2. On Sunday the team would have to win both singles and the final double to enter the final.
On Sunday Görges will face Pliskova and Kerber will face Kvitova. Gerlach Tatjana Maria and specialist Anna-Lena Grönefeld, who would meet Barbora Strycova and Katerina Siniakova, were nominated for the final double.
The match between Germany and the Czech Republic will not be broadcast on TV.
