Thiem wants to cause a furore at Wimbledon after his final appearance at the French Open. The Austrian is seeded at number seven.
Thiem contests the third match on court two. Johanna Konta against Natalia Vikhlyantseva and James Duckworth against the German number one Alexander Zverev (from 2 pm in the LIVETICKER) will play on the court.
The pay-TV channel Sky has secured the exclusive broadcasting rights for the game between Thiem and Baghdatis for Germany and Austria. The match will therefore not be shown on free TV. For those who are not subscribed to Sky, the station also offers day tickets for 9.99 euros.

Thiem and Baghdatis have never played a match before. The duel in the first round of Wimbledon will be the first between the Austrian and the Cypriot. Thiem, however, enters the match as the clear favourite.
Thiem enters the Grand Slam Tournament in London as seventh in the world rankings, Baghdatis is 100th in the ATP world rankings.
After reaching the final at the French Open, Thiem was eliminated in the round of 16 against Yuichi Sugita of Japan at the Halle Open in Germany – a mixed start into the grass court season.
Baghdatis failed on grass at the Antalya Open in the round of the last 32 due to Blaz Kavcic.
