Wimbledon: Wimbledon: Alexander Peya reaches mixed double finale with Nicole Melichar

Alexander Peya is in the mixed doubles final at the tournament in Wimbledon. At Nicole Melichar’s side, the Austrian beat Michael Venus and Katarina Srebotnik.

The Austrian-American mixed pair had the game under control from the start and won 6-4 and 6-4 after 54 minutes against the New Zealand-Slovenian doubles.

Peya/Melichar broke 2-1 in the first set and the mixed doubles did not give up the lead and secured themselves after only 24 minutes set one.

Passage two should also run in the direction of Peya/Melchiar. The decisive break was again a 2-1 lead, the first match point was transformed after 30 minutes of play in the second round.

The Austrian and the American will face Jamie Murray and Viktoria Azarenka in the final, who beat Jay Alexander Clarke and Harriet Dart 6-2 and 6-2. Peya’s doopel partner is also in the final of the women’s double competition.
