ATP: Brothers duel in Washington? Alexander and Mischa Zverev are missing only one victory

Alexander and Mischa Zverev may meet in round three at the ATP World Tour 500 tournament in Washington.

One victory each – and there would be a German duel between brothers in Washington. Alexander Zverev, defending champion and placed first, would only have to win against either Malek Jaziri or Evgeny Donskoy, Mischa will face either Tim Smyczek from the USA or Ricardas Berankis after a walk-through.

The German number one has not contested a match since his retirement against Ernests Gulbis in Wimbledon, preparing in Florida. Among others with Ivan Lendl. It will already be interesting to observe in Washington whether a long-term cooperation develops from this. Last year, Juan Carlos Ferrero made his debut as Zverev coach in the US capital.

Behind the Australian, however, there is a small question mark: Kyrgios had to give up his match against Cameron Norrie in Atlanta due to injury.
