SKVS Flötzersteig star Matthias Wolf was the fourth player to fix himself for the HTT-Tour finals of 25th season on Thursday evening after the release of the November Masters Series grid, despite his absence from the last 1000 season. November to 2. December 2017 at the UTC La Ville. For the first time in his career, the 29-year-old has won a ticket to the season finale of the Top 8 for the first time in his career, making him the second Masters debutant to appear at the two-week showdown of the best eight HTT players of the year 2017, alongside six-time season winner Lukas Prüger. In addition to Prüger and Wolf, Serbia’s first-ranked Vladimir Vukicevic and HTT-US Open winner Patrick Wiesmühler are also on the list for the 28th place. The HTT-Tour-Finals will be pre-qualified at the Altmannsdorfer Ast in the 11th edition. A report by C. L.
Matthias Wolf from the SKVS Flötzersteig is on the 22nd stage of the SKVS Flötzersteig. In November-Masters-Series 1000 tournament, the HTT Tour finals at UTC La Ville will be held in the same starting place. The fifth place finish, which this summer won the July HTT-500 tournament, can no longer be ousted from the top 8, due to the equally established absence of Mr. Markovic, Schneider, Beutler and Wagner in the November Masters Series 1000 tournament, even though the two HTT events still to be held in the competition are still on track. Wolf has earned his first-ever ticket to the HTT tour finals with a busy season. At 15 tournament starts the 29-year-old collected 3,645 points, which in the meantime he is currently on position no. 4 in the “Race to La Ville”, i. e. the annual ranking 2017. The Viennese scored top results with the semi-final entry at the HTT-French-Open, as well as with the final participations in Prottes and most recently at the October-HTT-500-Tournament.
