Tennis: Dominic Thiem beats Grega Zemlja – on the football pitch

What does Dominic Thiem do during the break of the season? Right, sport. However, he doesn’t train on the tennis court: The Lower Austrian did not play with his 1. TFC Matzendorf hosted a football test match against a selection of former Slovenian professional Grega Zemlja. The Austrian tennis fans won 3:1.

As early as mid-September, there was a duel between the two teams, and even then the Thiem tennis friends’ team was able to prevail. Zemlja promised Thiem a return leg in Slovenia at that time. He kept his promise last weekend.

“What a great event for FC Fantazisti,”Thiem wrote on Instagram after his second test match win in a row:”Thank you very much!” Thiem had his back number 99 in the game, but with a strong free-kick, he only narrowly failed on the opponent’s goalkeeper.
