Ski Alpin: Neureuther wins in Levi, Hirscher in midfield
Marcel Hirscher can look forward to a successful comeback in the Levi slalom. Although the Salzburg man from Salzburg dropped from fourth to 17th place in the second round, the result is respectable after his recent ankle fracture.
“The first heat was great, the second one was awesome. I would have hoped for more,”Hirscher admits to ORF. Over the next few weeks, it will be important to work on physical fitness in particular:”It was certainly the right decision to come here,”says Hirscher.
The victory in this first World Cup race of the new season goes to Felix Neureuther. Behind Henrik Kristoffersen (+0.37) and Mattias Hargin (+0.45) followed. Halftime leader Dave Ryding is eliminated in the second heat with intermediate best time.
Marco Schwarz (+1.09) landed as the best Austrian on the 13th rank. Just before Michael Matt (1,13).
