Ski Alpin: Sander acquires Olympic ticket – Kriechmayr triumphs

At the beginning of the Olympic winter, the German racers are still in remarkable form. At the World Cup races in Beaver Creek in Colorado, USA, Andreas Sander and Thomas Dreßen finished in ninth and tenth place in the Super-G.

The Austrian Vincent Kriechmayr celebrated his first victory in a World Cup race.

After Dreßen, who had already met the standard at the races in Lake Louise/Canada last weekend, Sander is now also qualified for the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Two Germans among the top ten in a Super-G were last seen in January 1992 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Hansjörg Tauscher finished fifth in front of Markus Wasmeier.
