Ski Alpin: First consequences after accusations of abuse

In connection with the accusations of abuse in the former Neustift Ski School, the state of Tyrol has drawn the first consequences. A teacher who worked in the 1990s at the ski main school in the school and training sector was suspended for the time being after an examination, the country announced in a letter on Monday evening.

The teacher is accused of having had offensive conversations with pupils and of having “inappropriately touched” them in the course of massages and safety work in training and physical education.”We are making every possible effort to completely clear up allegations and draw the consequences,”explained Federal Education Minister Beate Palfrader (ÖVP). Until the criminal and disciplinary responsibility has been clarified, the pedagogue concerned will remain temporarily suspended.

In the past few days, the Education Department of the Province of Tyrol and the Provincial School Board have been searching through files from the 1970s to the present day. It was said that the present case had been found.
