Winter Sports: Biathlon: Sick Prussia is missing in Hochfilzen
Another setback for Franziska Preuß: The former relay world champion is missing at the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen (8. till 10. December) because of a cold. This was announced by the German Ski Association (DSV). Karolin Horchler (Clausthal-Zellerfeld), who had already been there at the start of the season in Östersund/Sweden, takes the 23-year-old’s place.
At Preuß, however, bad memories of the past season are likely to be awakened. At that time, she had also competed in the first World Cup of the season, but then she had dropped out due to illness. The same thing happened after her return, so that she had only competed in a total of eight races.
Detailed examinations later revealed that an inflammation site had settled in the sinuses, which was removed by surgery. In summer, Preuß thought he was on the road to recovery.
