Alpine Skiing: Super G-winner Ferstl in the downhill on 14th place
One day after his sensational victory in the Super-G, Josef Ferstl missed the jump to the top ten in the downhill classics in Val Gardena.
The 28-year-old from Hammer came 14th in Aksel Lund Svindal’s sovereign victory. with a gap of 1.41 seconds to the outstanding Norwegian was only the third-best German.
Andreas Sander (Ennepetal/+1.31) finished twelfth. Thomas Dreßen (Mittenwald/+1.34), third in Beaver Creek, reached 13th place. Place.
