WWE: Surprise: There is a new United States Champion

Bobby Roode is the new United States champion. At Smackdown he conquered the belt against Jinder Mahal on Tuesday night. Riott Squad continues to clean up – and after the show, a special WWE project is making its debut on Facebook.

Actually, the United States Championship Tournament should not be dissolved until two weeks after Royal Rumble. But the two clocks of Smackdown, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan, called for the decision this time. After the two semi-finals were won by Jinder Mahal (against Xavier Woods) and Bobby Roode (against Mojo Rawley), the Singh Brothers beat Roode.

He reacted by suggesting that the title should already be available for disposition. Bryan turned the title fight into the Main Event of the day – and Roode won the match after Mahal’s mates were banned from the ring.

Prior to this, Ruby Riott’s Riott Squad had won against a trio consisting of Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Naomi. Naomi took a kick from Ruby Riott and then the pin through Liv Morgan.

The first episode of the Mixed Match Challenge was then broadcast on Facebook. RAW and Smackdown were joined by mixed doubles, who compete against each other in 20-minute-long episodes. The first edition was won by Finn Balor and Sasha Banks (RAW) against Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya (Smackdown).

However, the MMC is not to be seen in Germany. The Facebook Watch service that broadcasts the program is only available in the USA.
