Olympia 2018: Rebensburg returns to World Cup

Ski racer Viktoria Rebensburg returns to the World Cup just three weeks before her most important race at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

The 2010 Olympic gold medallist and 2014 Olympic medallist will be the only German competitor in the giant slalom at the Kronplatz in South Tyrol on Tuesday (10.00 and 13.00 hrs in the LIVETICKER).

Rebensburg recently had to struggle with a virus infection and its aftermath. She had missed the races in Bad Kleinkirchheim (Austria) and Cortina d’ Ampezzo (Italy) last weekend at the suggestion of the team’s doctors, in order not to take any risks in view of the Olympic Games.

Giant slalom, Rebensburg’s flagship discipline, is the first alpine women’s competition in the competition programme in Pyeongchang for organisational reasons. He will be on 12. February (Monday), three days after the opening ceremony (9. February) and one day after the departure of the men (11. February).
