SKi Alpin: Mikaela Shiffrin condemns snowball throwing in Schladming
Mikaela Shiffrin deeply condemns the snowball throws on Henrik Kristoffersen at the Night Race in Schladming. The World Cup leader gives free rein to her displeasure on Twitter and describes the incident as “disgusting and dangerous”.
“I don’t care who you are, who you cheer for, what nation you belong to or whatever reason you may have. Throwing snowballs or other distractions at the runners while they are racing is not only disgusting but also dangerous. Don’t you have a life?”, writes the 22-year-old after the race.
Only a short time later, the dominator of the previous World Cup winter followed by another tweet:”Believe me, Marcel is a big boy and gets along quite well without anyone throwing snowballs. Great respect to Henrik Kristoffersen, who nevertheless kept the focus and drove sensationally. And Marcel Hirscher, oh my God, what a run.”
