Ski Alpin: Kirchgasser is open for new ideas after the Olympic Games
Ski racer Michaela Kirchgasser (32) made it clear on Sunday that she is ready for “new things”after not being considered for the Olympic Winter Games in South Korea.
On Facebook, the triple team world champion wrote:”And suddenly you know it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of the beginning!
She from Salzburg has been taking part in the World Cup since December 2001. With 283 World Cup starts, 3 victories and a total of 17 podiums as well as 7 World Championship medals, the 2003 Junior Slalom World Champion is one of the most deserving female runners in the ÖSV women’s team.
After the Olympics, there are still a few races on the agenda, such as the Kombi in Crans Montana or the slalom in Ofterschwang, and thus the possibility of a possible farewell race. On the basis of the current statements, however, an immediate career ending of Kirchgassers cannot be ruled out.
A year ago, the married Filzmooserin had been married in St. Guggenheim. Moritz WRC bronze medal in the combination, even though she had already been advised to end her career in many places.
