Ski Jumping: Gold and Silver for German ski jumpers at Junior World Championships

At the Junior World Championships in Kandersteg/Switzerland, Constantin Schmid led the German ski jumpers to gold and silver in the team competitions. On Saturday Schmid won the team jumping championship together with Philipp Raimund (Obersorf), Justin Lisso (Schmiedefeld) and Cedrik Weigel (Aue) ahead of Austria and Norway.

On Sunday, Schmid, who has been a member of the German World Cup team on several occasions, finished second in the Mixed with Lisso, Sochi Olympic starter Gianina Ernst (Oberstdorf) and Luisa Görlich (Lauscha) behind Norway.

In the singles, Schmid had won silver behind the Norwegian supertalent Marius Lindvik. Lindvik was also the best jumper in all four rounds of the two team competitions.

For the German Nordic talents there was also gold in Kandersteg through the female cross-country relay and silver through the combination team. After Norway, Russia and Slovenia, the DSV team finished fourth in the medal table behind Norway, Russia and Slovenia.
