The WWE Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia is one of the big highlights of this year’s wrestling calendar. SPOX gives you the most important information about Friday’s event.

The event will focus on WWE’s biggest royal rumble fight to date. 50 wrestlers will fight over who will be the last one in the ring. In addition, there are highlights such as an undertaker’s coffin match and numerous championship decisions.

The Greatest Royal Rumble is WWE’s first guest in Saudi Arabia. The venue is the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah. Start time in the Central European time zone is already at 6 pm.

The match will not be shown live on any German TV station, but will be broadcast live by the WWE Network. The service is subject to a fee, but the first month is free of charge.

WWE has signed a ten-year contract with Saudi Arabia for a “strategic multi-platform partnership”, which also includes the organisation of this event. The partnership is intended to support the reform programme “Saudi Vision 2030” in which Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman intends to initiate economic and social modernisation.

However, the event is also strongly criticised, as no female fighters are admitted due to the image of women there.
