Biathlon: Biathlon: German Olympic gold after the event?

Two days before the start of the World Cup in Pokljuka, the International Biathlon Union handed over proceedings against the Russians Yevgeny Ustyugov, Alexander Petchenkin, Alexander Chernisev and Svetlana Sleptsova to its own Anti-Doping Commission.
The quartet, of which only Petschenkin is still active, is said to have violated the association’s anti-doping guidelines between 2012 and 2015.
While Petschenkin was provisionally suspended, the case of Ustyugov is particularly explosive. The now 33-year-old had won the Olympic gold medal in 2014 with the Russian relay in Sochi ahead of Germany. If Ustyugov is convicted of doping and his results are deleted afterwards, the DSV relay team would subsequently receive gold.
