Ski Aklpin: Marcel Hirscher switches to lawyer because of son
Marcel Hirscher could celebrate his 60th World Cup victory at the giant slalom in Val d’Isere on Saturday. But Austria’s superstar won’t be able to go out on the slopes without any worries, because in addition to the bad weather in France, Hirscher will also have to fight private fires.
His son, who was only born in October, is part of a possible bet. For example, one supplier offers 18 times the stakes if you bet that Hirscher’s son will win a World Cup race before his 18th birthday. A circumstance the 29-year-old doesn’t like at all.
“We had our lawyer check it out. That’s not allowed. We are examining whether we can now take legal action against this,” Hirschers consultant Stefan Illek is quoted in the Krone as saying.
