For today’s show, a contract between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank is announced. We will also see a Triple Threat Match between Nia Jax, Asuka and Shayna Baszler. Tom Phillips welcomes an old friend back to the commentator’s desk. Samoa Joe replaces Jerry “The King” Lawler today. Afterwards we switch to the ring, where M.V.P. will present us the V.I.P. Lounge.

MVP’s V.I.P. Lounge will host three men today, all of whom will participate in the Money in the Bank directors’ match. We are reminded that the match will be held at WWE headquarters. The first guest to be introduced is Rey Mysterio. Afterwards Aleister Black will come to the ring. Last but not least Apollo Crews will be invited to the ring. M.V.P. starts with Rey and asks him about his motivation for the leader match. Before Mysterio can answer, he is interrupted by the host who answers the question himself. Rey is doing this for his “legacy” to add another milestone to his career. Relatively quickly M.V.P. Crews turns his attention. The latter has fought his spot against the same M.V.P. and the latter asks Apollo if he is ready for such a match. Crews wants to answer this question confidently but is interrupted by Zelina Vega. Vega says that no one is interested in what an Apollo Crews has to say. Rather people want to see the United States Champion Andrade. They want the handsome Angel Garza and the up-and-coming Austin Theory! After all, these names are the future of WWE. None of the men in the ring can hold a candle to their followers. Vega leads her troupe to the ring and now all six men face each other. Zelina takes the floor again and asks Mysterio, Black and Crews to give up their spots in the Money in the Bank Match. Andrade, Garza and Theory would be more than willing to take over those spots. Rey grabs the microphone of M.V.P. and underlines that her demand will not be met. However, Vegas men seem ready for a fight and they can get it. Thereupon a brawl breaks out and the Faces can get their way relatively quickly. With a staredown the first interruption is reached.
