BBL: Alba Berlin loses first home game

Following a successful start to the new Bundesliga season, former series champion Alba Berlin suffered a setback two days after the surprising opening victory at last year’s semi-finalist ratiopharm Ulm.

In an early game of 10.Alba lost to the polar bears Bremerhaven at home with 64:66 (30:32) in the second matchday.After 2013 and 2015 the guests from Bremerhaven celebrated another triumph in Berlin.

Dennis Clifford was the best thrower in the first home game under the new Alba coach Alejandro Garcia Reneses with 18 points.Johnny Gerhanemeskel was the safest shooter of the polar bears, scoring 14 points.
