The Nuremberg Ice Tigers have won the top game of the DEL against Eisbären Berlin and thus defended their lead in the standings. On the 14th. On the 11th day of the match, the Franconians beat the record champion 2:1 (1:0,0:0,0:1,0:0,1:1,1:0) after penalty shooting and are still in first place with 32 points ahead of champion Red Bull Munich (31).

In Nuremberg, Dane Fox (9th) was successful for the Ice Tigers. 41 seconds before the end, Sean Backman rescued the polar bears into penalty shooting, but then the hosts celebrated their fifth victory in a row.

Straubing came in Munich in the final phase for a 3-3 equalization, only afterwards Red Bull turned up and came through Frank Mauer, captain Michael Wolf and international Brooks Macek to a clear victory.

Cologne woke up late against Ingolstadt, and two goals from Moritz Müller were not enough to turn things around.
