Basketball: Hagen coach Grothe died

Phoenix Hagen mourns the loss of his trainer Matthias Grothe. The 39-year-old died on Tuesday morning, according to the association.

Grothe was diagnosed with lymphatic gland cancer a year ago. However, former Superstar Dirk Nowitzki’s former team-mate Dirk Nowitzki continued to work in the U22 national team as coach of second-league club Iserlohn Kangaroos, and at the start of the season he changed to become the new head coach at Bundesliga relegate Hagen.
