Handball: Foxes Berlin still victorious
The Füchse Berlin remain in the Bundesliga’s successful track. The front runner won 29:21 (11:9) at the back of the standings in TuS N-Lübbecke and now has 21:3 points on his account.
The Rhine-Neckar lions (18-2) were in action in the Champions League on Sunday evening and, as the worst pursuer, scored two games less. The best thrower of the team of coach Velimir Petkovic was Petar Nenadic with nine goals.
The SG Flensburg-Handewitt meanwhile consolidated third place. The runners-up won against TBV Lemgo in front of his own audience after a close encounter of 25:22 (12:12) over a long period of time. Flensburg has 17:5 points, Lemgo (12:10) remains in the midfield of the table. TSV Hannover-Burgdorf missed the jump to fourth place. The Lower Saxony came against Frisch Auf Göppingen only 28:28 (14:13).
In the lower half of the standings, TVB Stuttgart celebrated an important success at the ascendant TV Hüttenberg. The team of the 2007 world champion Markus Baur won 28:23 (14:11) at the Hessen. Stuttgart now has 9:13 points, Hüttenberg is now only one point ahead of the descending ranks with 5:17 points.
