Eisbären Berlin have taken advantage of the Nuremberg Ice Tigers’ defeat and taken the lead in the DEL. The record champion won at the Schwenninger Wild Wings 1:0 (0:0,0:0,1:0) and jumped to first place with 55 points. Marcel Noebels scored in the 52nd minute. The decisive goal in one minute.
Nuremberg, on the other hand, lost after five victories in series with 0:4 (0:1,0:1,0:2) at the Iserlohn Roosters. Coach Rob Wilson’s team is one point behind Berlin. The hosts were Christopher Brown (2nd), Luigi Caporusso (25th, 51st) and Jake Weidner (41st).
Master Red Bull Munich even played a two-goal lead at the Penguins Bremerhaven and had to accept a surprising defeat. Coach Don Jackson’s team was defeated by the outsider 2-3 (1-0,1-0,0-0,0-3).
Dominik Kahun (14th) and Florian Kettemer (25th) were successful in Munich, then Jan Urbas (45th, 55th) and Jordan Owens (49th) met in the final period. Munich is in third place with 49 points.
