HBL: Flensburg wins after Derby bankruptcy – leader of the standings again

The SG Flensburg-Handewitt has returned to the top of the Bundesliga standings. Four days after the Derby defeat to THW Kiel in the Champions League, the runners-up at GWD Minden won 34:30 (18:13) and replaced the equal-point foxes Berlin (25:5) with a better goal difference.

TSV Hannover-Burgdorf (23:7) follows behind the leading duo in third place. The Lower Saxony won on Sunday afternoon against VfL Gummersbach 28:22 (12:12). Defending champion Rhein-Neckar Löwen (22:6) is fourth after a sovereign 33:22 (16:12) against HC Erlangen.
