Basketball: BBL-Cup: Cup Winner Bamberg has to go to Munich

The German champion Brose Bamberg has to overcome a high hurdle on his way to the BBL-Cup. The team of coach Andrea Trinchieri must qualify for the Final Four (20th/21st place in the final round. January) at the Bundesliga leader Bayern Munich.

Former series champion Alba Berlin receives the MHP giant Ludwigsburg. Medi Bayreuth must travel to either Skyliners Frankfurt or Telekom Baskets Bonn. That was the result of the draw on Saturday in Bamberg. The lots drew DBB vice president Armin Andres.

Next Thursday, the match between Bonn and the polar bears Bremerhaven will decide who will be the opponent of Bayreuth. Bonn has to win the game in order to pass Frankfurt in the cup table.

The winners of the three qualifying matches complete the field of participants in the Final Four on 17/18 June. February in Neu-Ulm, for which the host ratiopharm Ulm has been chosen.
