Master Red Bull Munich won a tough defeat against “Vice” Grizzlies Wolfsburg in the DEL on the fourth last day of the preliminary round. On Thursday evening, the citizens of Munich lost 0:4 (0:2,0:1,0:1,0:1) in their home arena.

The Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven had to take a 1:5 (1:2,0:1,0:1,0:2) home defeat against Adler Mannheim in the fight for direct playoff participation. With 72 points, the penguins are now in sixth place, which means that they are still eligible for direct entry into the playoffs, and have only two points ahead of the Mannheim team, who are currently ninth in the qualifying round.
