Handball: Reinkind leaves Rhein-Neckar Löwen at the end of the season

The German handball champion Rhein-Neckar Löwen has to manage without backroom player Harald Reinkind in the coming season.

As the Mannheimers announced on Tuesday, the Norwegian national player will leave the club at his own request at the end of the season. This is made possible by a fixed transfer fee in his original contract, which runs until summer 2019. It is not yet clear where the 25-year-old is going.

Reinkind changed from Fyllingen Handball to the Löwen in 2014, where he made a major contribution to winning the first two championship titles in 2016 and 2017. So far, he has scored 34 goals in the current Bundesliga season.

“It’s a pity that Harald is leaving us, as we would have liked to see him in our team. But we accept his wish for a sporty change and now we want to celebrate as many successes as possible until the end of the season,”said Löwen Managing Director Jennifer Kettemann.
