Basketball: EuroLeague: Bamberg celebrate home win against Malaga

German basketball series champion Brose Bamberg has celebrated an honourable success in the EuroLeague.

Two days after the Bamberg team also missed their last calculated chance to reach the play-off round in their away defeat against Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz, coach Luca Banchi’s team beat Unicaja Malaga 93:88 (55:42) in the penultimate home game.

With eleven wins out of 28 games, the Franconians equaled Malaga, who also have no chance of making it into the top eight teams, with Ricky Hickman from the USA scoring 28 points.
