Ice Hockey: KHL: Livestream, Final Series, Participants
The Continental Hockey League is considered the Russian counterpart of the NHL and is one of the strongest ice hockey leagues in the world. SPOX has all the important information about KHL for you and shows where you can watch the games live.
The KHL is the ice hockey league of the Olympic champion Russia. The KHL, which is the counterpart of the NHL, includes teams from Russia as well as clubs from other nations.
Already this season the streaming service DAZN shows the final of the KHL, the Juri Gagarin Cup. The best-of-seven series between the finalists CSKA Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan starts on Saturday, 14 April at 4 pm.
Starting next season DAZN will broadcast numerous live matches of the Regular Season and the playoffs, the complete final series and the All Star Game.
DAZN offers over 8,000 live sports broadcasts per year, making it the most comprehensive sports programme ever offered by a single provider.
The extensive range includes a large football sector, the best US sport with NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB, tennis, hockey, rugby, boxing, martial arts, the most extensive darts coverage of all time and much more.
With KHL, DAZN is expanding its ice hockey offering by another attractive component. Besides the KHL DAZN shows the NHL in Germany and Austria, and – exclusively in Germany – the CHL and the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
DAZN offers one free month, costs 9.99 € per month and can be cancelled at any time.
Also about the participation of a German club in the KHL there were rumours again and again. KHL, for example, wanted to transfer a Swedish team to Hamburg, which was to play under a new name in the KHL.
PHC Torpedo Leipzig also had ambitions to participate in the continental hockey league. However, both projects failed in the end.
Felix Schütz has worked in four teams in the KHL during his career: Vladivosotok, Omsk, Riga and Novogorod. Robert Dietrich joined Lokomotive Jaroslaw in 2011. On 7 September 2011, he and many of the club’s players died tragically in a plane crash on the way to the season-opening match against HK Dinamo Minsk.
The 27 participants of KHL are divided into two conferences, each of which is divided into two regional divisions. The games of the teams are subdivided as follows:
The regular season is followed by the playoffs, for which the eight best teams in each conference qualify. All playoff rounds are played in best-of-seven mode.
