Ice Hockey: WM: Austria – Switzerland live on TV and live stream
Austria’s national ice hockey team is aiming for a place in the A World Championship in Denmark. This was last achieved 14 years ago by the ÖEHV selection. SPOX provides all information on the matches of the Austrians as well as on the transmission on TV and via live stream.
Austria plays in Group A in Copenhagen and has two top favourites against defending champion Sweden and Olympic champion Russia. The games against France and Belarus on 11 and 12 May are likely to be decisive in the fight for class retention.
All matches of the Austrians will be broadcasted live on ORF. ORF Sport+ shows all matches live, and there is also an Internet live stream in the ORF TVthek.
The ÖEHV selection last won in 2004 in Prague, in 2013 in Helsinki and 2015 in Prague, strong performances and two victories were not enough. Now this negative series is to end.
Michael Raffl, the only NHL legionary in the squad, will be missing in the first two matches on Saturday against Switzerland and on Sunday against Russia (both at 12.15 pm).
