Basketball: Rodman moved to tears after meeting Trump and Kim Jong Un

Dennis Rodman moved the meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to tears in Singapore on Tuesday.

“It’s a big day. I’m here to witness it. I’m so happy,” said the five-time NBA winner and started crying in front of the CNN camera.

Rodman, a friend of Kim’s, is happy about the conversation between the two rulers: “I told everyone: the door will open. It’s incredible, it’s incredible, it’s incredible,” says the 57-year-old.

Rodman said he had received “so many death threats after returning from North Korea. I had to hide for 30 days. But I stayed positive. I knew things would change. I knew it. The only one.”

On his arrival in Singapore, Rodman wore a red cap with Trump’s campaign slogan and the inscription “Make America Great Again.

For Rodman, Kim is a “big child, although he is small. He loves to have a good time.”

The White House recently ruled out Rodman’s involvement in the talks. However, the former NBA professional said he had been contacted by the US government.
