Ski Alpin: Resignation from Neureuther? – “My career has been long enough.”

Felix Neureuther fuels speculation about his possible resignation. For the ski star his young family stands above everything, for them he would immediately sacrifice his career as a professional athlete.

“My career has been long enough. Life isn’t about medals, it’s about what remains. Children,” the German, who had missed the Olympic Games in Pyeonchang, told BILD. Enthusing children for sport is a great stroke of luck, the author of the children’s book continues, thus providing clues for possible new tasks.

His own offspring, daughter Matilda was born eight months ago, will significantly influence Neureuther’s professional future.

“My daughter will decide how long I will continue driving,” reveals Miriam Gössner’s husband and explains: “If I find it too difficult to separate from her for longer periods, I will stop. My life is over. Now it’s about their needs.”

So it is quite possible that newcomers will withdraw from the ski circus faster than expected.
