MLB: Concussion Symptoms: Season Off for Youngsters
For Clint Frazier, the 2018 season has been an effective one. The New York Yankee outfielder still suffers from symptoms similar to a concussion and was therefore examined by a specialist.
Manager Aaron Boone called Frazier’s chances of returning this year “unlikely”. On Monday, Frazier visited a neurologist near Pittsburgh after the symptoms returned.
Frazier suffered a concussion in jumping practice when he crashed into an outfield wall. Since then he has suffered from the consequences of the injury and played only sporadically in the majors.
He has now been sent back to the Yankee training complex in Tampa, Florida, where he will begin his training and undergo special treatments.
“We’re just trying to track down his problems and find the best possible treatment program for him so we can finally get him well,” Boone said of Frazier’s situation. “We hope this is a step in the right direction.”
