Alpine skiing: Levi slalom: Shiffrin wins, sign still racing onto the podium

Mikaela Shiffrin wins the first slalom of the new World Cup season in Levi. The American puts Petra Vlhova and Bernadette Schild in their places.

Vlhova is 58 hundredths behind. Schild set the fastest time in the second run after a messed up first run (twelfth place) and thus still made it to the podium.

Katharina Gallhuber (+1.05 seconds ) drops back from fourth intermediate place to seventh Katharina Liensberger (+1.24 seconds) moves up from 15th to eighth, ,

Katharina Truppe (+2.61) is 16th, Katharina Huber (+2.91) 20th and Marie-Therese Sporrer (+4.31) 26th.
